  1. This CD contains the "Nuages", Django's last and many say his most beautiful. The rest of the tunes are later pieces with Django amplified and/or with horns/5(21).
  2. "Jazz in Paris-Nuages" by Django Reinhardt offers an excellent sampling of the new direction of sound and form that Reinhardt developed during and after World War II. The recordings are taken primarily from the late 40s and early 50s. but there are songs on this cd that I know to be Django only because the jewel case says it is so/5(23).

The basic outline of Django Reinhardt’s remarkable career is familiar to just about anyone who loves the guitar: how he started playing guitar-banjo as a child in the bals musette, the rough, working-class dancehalls of Paris; how he nearly.

Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli: Nuages Take 2: seemingly was as uneasy with the introduction as Rostaing had been in and on both the Decca LP and the London CD the intro was ommitted (take 2). Daniel Nevers, in his sleeve notes to Fremaux FA13, states that Take 2 was issued on the original 78 but that Take 1 was issued Missing: Bijou.
